First semester in college essay
It was nothing like high school, people are actually really nice to you even if you do not know them. This scenario was the complete opposite to my thinking.
I realized how lonely it can feel to be miles away from home. Which meant that very little work actually got done.
Although, there are a few areas that I still need to work on. I've learned, the hard way, that I wasn't as academically-equipped as I thought I was. Your homework will feel much doable and even possibly enjoyable.
On top of all this, new people, classes, the teacher are new too but that is not the only reason. It was tough the first week trying to figure out what exactly I needed to write down, and I eventually caught onto what I needed for the test and to study; taking notes in college is definitely a change from high school, and it was an eye-opener for me.

Your time management skills will get better. I'm pretty sure I leave my apartment every morning rushing and feeling like I must have forgotten something. College has been everything I expected and so much more. While I feel like I do well in class, the lack of fellow students that I get along with is surprisingly large I ended the semester with no one to help me study or even really another person to talk to about school related things which I feel is a problem for me You'll find a group of friends who you can really talk to and not stress about fitting in with. Nobody cares if you take a Philosophy, Acting or Drawing class. Being an engineering student was no walk in the park. College was different. No one know what the outcome will be, but if we all have the vision and innovation that Balanchine had there is not a doubt in my mind that we too, all the freshman on campus, will be able to achieve success. By learning my weaknesses, I was able to start correcting them and learning from them. You try; you try to constantly make the most out of college, figuring out a way to balance academics, sleep, social life, extra-curricular activities and your sanity until you realize that you only have 24 hours in a day. These last few months showed me what it means to be free without any limits, but with freedom comes responsibility. Three strong points have made a tremendous impact on my education not only in this course but others as well And I use the word "experience" in the way that Randy Pausch used it in his famous Last Lecture, where he said that "Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted. Not achieving the grades I wanted and kind of assumed I would get.
But we can choose to commit to becoming the best version of ourselves. I am currently a Political Science major.
My first month in college essay
After all, we all left what we were accustomed to, our homes, families, friends, and high school. I became accustomed to talking to my parents through FaceTime and over the phone, even if I didn't like it. Being in a new environment, a different state and not knowing one single person was something that I did not prepare myself for. This, along with my new found existential crises, is more or less the reason for the formation of my illness. Although at times it was difficult, I faced every situation like a mature adult and never ran away from the problems at hand. Nothing beats my Yiayia's cooking, and not having Greek food at my disposal was a major adjustment. We all have our own beliefs and perspectives It's funny because college is this weird place and time; it's like the last step before the "real world". During my second semester, I learned that you just have to dive right into working hard.
But give it a couple of weeks, and you'll see that you don't have much to relate to them over. There is really no better word to describe how I was feeling other than terrified.
Nobody cares if you fail.
